## What is Ovols?

Ovols is a tokenization standard that seamlessly integrates NFTs into the DeFi ecosystem, emphasizing composability and interoperability. \

Using Ovols, users can buy or sell NFTs as easily as buying SOL. Our goal is to tokenize everything.

# Getting Started

1 NFT = 1000 Fractional tokens ($OVOL, $CLAY, $MADx, etc)

Your NFT can be converted into fractional tokens and swapped back to the full NFT whenever you want.

## 1. Fractionalize your NFTs

Head over to the [Fractionalize](https://www.ovols.com/fractionalize) section and select a collection you would like to fractionalize.&#x20;

Simply select the NFT(s) that you would like to convert into fractional SPL tokens and select convert.

If you would like to swap those fractional SPL tokens back, simply select the tab to convert $OVOL to NFTs.

## 2. DCA in/out of a collection.

Head over to the [Trade](https://ovols.com/trade) section and select a collection you would like to DCA into.

You have the ability to sell percentages of an NFT (i.e you would like to sell off 30% of your Claynosaur when they are pumping.) Simply fractionalize the Clayno as stated above, and select how many tokens you would like to DCA out of in the Trade page.

You can also do a normal Swap or Limit order.

# Tech Breakdown

TL;DR - Ovols converts NFTs into fungible tokens that represent fractional ownership of a given collection or unique asset. These tokens power limitless opportunities and are composable with Solana DeFi.&#x20;

## How Ovols work

Our tech runs off a Floor Index, which allows users to deposit NFTs from the same collection and receive a constant 1000 fungible tokens that can be used to withdraw another NFT at the same ratio.

* 1000 fractional tokens = 1 NFT (i.e 1 Ovol NFT = 1000 $OVOL)
* Every collection has a pool made up of many fractionalized NFTs (fNFTs)
* All NFTs in a pool are valued at the floor price
* Each pool has a **pool token** associated with it (i. e Ovol NFTs = $OVOL) that respresents fractional ownership of that collection.
* These tokens have an AMM (Orca/Meteoera) that allows tokens to be swapped seamlessly.

These tokens then can be integrated into DeFi products just as normal SPL tokens are.&#x20;

**Example:** Selling an NFT

* **Fractionalize (NFT -> fNFTs):** the original NFT is locked in a vault and 1,000 fNFT tokens are minted to the user. These tokens represent fractional ownership over the *original NFT*
* **Deposit (fNFTs -> pool tokens):** 1,000 fNFTs are deposited into the collection's pool and 1,000 pool tokens are minted to the user. These tokens represent fractional ownership over the *NFT collection*
* **Swap (pool tokens -> SOL):** 1,000 pool tokens are swapped (using an Orca/Raydium swap) for SOL

* **Swap (SOL -> pool tokens):** SOL is swapped (using an Orca/Raydium swap) for 1,000 pool tokens
* **Withdraw (pool tokens -> fNFTs):** the 1,000 pool tokens are used to withdraw 1,000 fNFT tokens&#x20;
* **Fuse (fNFTs -> pool NFT):** [1,000 fNFTs ](#user-content-fn-1)[^1]are fused back into the original NFT and sent to the user

# Liquidity Provision

There are 3 different methods for providing liquidity with Ovols.

## How to provide liquidity on Ovols?

**Step 1** - Head to the [market-making ](https://www.ovols.com/market-making)section on Ovols.com and select "Provide Liquidity"

**Step 2** - Choose your collection to LP and set your parameters.

1. Select your collection to LP
2. Choose amount of fractional token ($OVOL, $CLAY, $MADx, etc) to deposit.
3. Choose amount of SOL to deposit
4. Set parameters for the min/max price for liquidations.
5. Hit confirm and you are LPing!

Coming soon. Why Points? We understand points are becoming more and more normalized through protocols in crypto. We think of this similar to the whitelist meta for NFTs or staking. Yes others have done it, but when approached from new angles and done correctly it can help propel and adopt more users naturally. With our end goal being to onboard as many users as possible and create a tight-knit user base, this aligns with our incentives. \
